The students of the Postgraduate Program “Digital Culture, Smart Cities, IoT & Advanced Technologies” of the University of Piraeus had the great pleasure of attending an invited lecture by Sofia Gialama, PhD Candidate at the University of West Attica, EU Climate Pact Ambassador and Head of Advisory Department at Global Sustain, in the context of the course “Sustainable Cultural Development and ESG for Digital Cities”, which is taught by Dr. Konstantina Sioudri.

The lecture focused on the role of integrating ESG principles in organizational governance, in climate risk management and on the importance of infrastructure resilience in the context of the sustainable transition of modern cities.

The lecture is part of the broader academic and research orientation of the UNESCO Chair “Creative Cities in Motion”, which promotes sustainable urban development, infrastructure resilience and the connection of culture, technology and climate action.

Warm thanks for her substantial contribution to the learning experience of the program students and for connecting academic knowledge with modern practices in the field of sustainability and ESG.
