Euthymios Alepis completed his Ph.D. in the Department of Informatics at the University of Piraeus in February 2009. In 2010, he was elected Lecturer, in 2013 he became an Associate Professor, and in 2020 he was appointed as an Assistant Professor in the field of "Object-Oriented Programming in Software Technology Applications" in the Department of Informatics. He teaches a significant number of postgraduate courses and has been a member of the Teaching and Research Staff of the Hellenic Open University since 2012.

Dr. Alepis is an author and co-author of over 90 scientific articles published in international journals, chapters in scientific books, and international conferences. His current research interests include object-oriented programming, applications for smart mobile devices, user-computer interface design, educational software, and Android software security.

Dimitrios D. Vergados is a Professor in the Department of Informatics at the University of Piraeus, Director of the M.Sc. Programm "Digital Culture, Smart Cities, IoT and Advanced Digital Technologies", Director of the "Digital Culture, Smart Cities, Internet of Things (IoT) and Advanced Digital Technologies and Services Lab", Chairman of the General Assembly of the Hellenic Foundation for Research and Innovation (ELIDEK), UNESCO Chair Holder: "Creative Cities in Motion: Urban Sustainable Mobility and Utilization of Cultural Resources”.

His research interests are in the area of Computer Networks and Communications, Telecommunication Systems, Wireless and Mobile Communications, Internet of Things (IoT) and Advanced Digital Technologies, Smart Technologies, Cloud Computing, Digital Image Processing and Analysis, Sustainable Ecosystems and Smart Cities, Management of Digital Cultural Content, Intellectual Property,Personal Data Protection, and Regulatory Issues.

He has several publications in journals, books and conference proceedings.

He has served as a committee member and evaluator in national and international organizations and agencies. He has also served as a chair, technical program committee member (TPC) and reviewer in several international conferences and co-editor, member of the editorial board, and reviewer in several international journals.

Charalampos Konstantopoulos received his diploma in Computer Engineering from the Department of Computer Engineering and Informatics at the University of Patras in 1993, and he earned his Ph.D. in Computer Science from the same department in 2000. He is currently an Assistant Professor at the Department of Informatics at the University of Piraeus, specializing in "Algorithms and Complexity."

His research interests include parallel and distributed algorithms, mobile computing, algorithmic issues in sensor networks, as well as algorithmic techniques for optimization problems. He is also an Experienced Collaborating Researcher at the Institute of Computer Technology and Publications "Diophantus." He has published more than 90 articles in reputable international scientific journals and conference proceedings, with publishers such as IEEE, Springer, Elsevier, Wiley, and ACM. He has also contributed seven chapters in books published by well-known publishers. He has served as a program committee member for several recognized international conferences, as a member of the editorial board for two renowned international journals, as a reviewer for articles in well-known international journals, and as an invited reviewer for four journal issues. Additionally, he is the editor of a collective volume published by Springer.

Furthermore, he has participated as a researcher in numerous research and development projects funded by the European Commission and the Greek government.

Mr. Th. Panagiotopoulos is an Electrical Engineer at the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA) with a BSc and MSc degree. He also holds a PhD in Artificial Intelligence. He has published 135 papers in scientific journals, book chapters from international scientific publishers, proceedings of international conferences, and has made presentations at scientific conferences and workshops. He has served as an editor for 5 volumes of conference proceedings and has authored university-level computer science books.

Since 1991, he has initiated and taught 24 undergraduate courses and 21 postgraduate courses. He has supervised and co-supervised numerous undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral theses. He has participated in research and development projects funded by the General Secretariat for Research and Technology (GSRT), the Ministry of Education, and the European Union. Additionally, he has served as an evaluator for the GSRT, the Research Promotion Foundation of Cyprus, the Information Society, and more.

He has held various positions within the scientific society "Hellenic Artificial Intelligence Society" (EETN), including Treasurer, Secretary, and President. He was a member of the Board of Directors of the Hellenic Authority for Qualifications (EKDDA) for a five-year term (2005-2010), Director of the National School of Public Administration (2005-2010), President of the Central Scientific Excellence Committee of the Ministry of Education for a two-year term (2012-2014), member of the Board of Directors of the Institute of Educational Policy (IEP) for a three-year term (2013-2015), Deputy Vice-Rector for Economic Planning at the University of Piraeus, and President of the Special Account and the Research Committee (2014-2016). He has also been a member of advisory councils for the General Secretariat for Public Revenue and the Independent Authority for Public Revenue for a four-year term (2016-2019), Special Advisory Council, Senior Advisory Council, and Supreme Advisory Council. He is a member of the Senate of the University of Piraeus, the Research Committee of the University of Piraeus, and the Director of the established laboratories "Information Systems Laboratory" (2010-2016) and "Artificial Intelligence and Virtual Reality Laboratory" (2016-present).

Associate Professor Angelos Pikrakis, with a research focus on Signal Processing with an emphasis on audio-voice, is a faculty member of the Department of Informatics at the University of Piraeus and an affiliate member of the Institute of Language and Speech Processing (ILSP). His research interests lie in the area of sound analysis, with a focus on machine learning algorithms such as Deep Neural Networks, Hidden Markov Models, Bayesian architectures, and sequence mapping methods. He is currently supervising three doctoral dissertations related to these research areas.

Dr. Pikrakis has authored two internationally recognized books and has published over 50 articles in international scientific journals and conferences with peer review. His publications have received over 1500 citations (h-index=18, Google Scholar). He has received several accolades, including a Best Paper Award, a first-place position in an algorithm competition, and the Meritorious Service Award for the year 2019 from the European Association for Signal Processing (EURASIP).

He serves as the scientific coordinator of a program funded by ELIDEK (Hellenic Foundation for Research and Innovation) and has participated in various research programs funded by the General Secretariat for Research and Technology (GSRT) and the European Union (EU) as a member of research teams over the past fifteen years.

Dr. Pikrakis is a member of the editorial board of the EURASIP Journal on Advances in Signal Processing (since 2008) and has contributed for over ten years as a co-organizer, member of the organizing committee, and reviewer for international journals and conferences such as IEEE ICIP, IEEE ICASSP, and EUSIPCO. He was born in 1970 and holds a Diploma in Computer Engineering and Informatics from the University of Patras (1993) and a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (2002).
