Mr. Th. Panagiotopoulos is an Electrical Engineer at the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA) with a BSc and MSc degree. He also holds a PhD in Artificial Intelligence. He has published 135 papers in scientific journals, book chapters from international scientific publishers, proceedings of international conferences, and has made presentations at scientific conferences and workshops. He has served as an editor for 5 volumes of conference proceedings and has authored university-level computer science books.

Since 1991, he has initiated and taught 24 undergraduate courses and 21 postgraduate courses. He has supervised and co-supervised numerous undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral theses. He has participated in research and development projects funded by the General Secretariat for Research and Technology (GSRT), the Ministry of Education, and the European Union. Additionally, he has served as an evaluator for the GSRT, the Research Promotion Foundation of Cyprus, the Information Society, and more.

He has held various positions within the scientific society "Hellenic Artificial Intelligence Society" (EETN), including Treasurer, Secretary, and President. He was a member of the Board of Directors of the Hellenic Authority for Qualifications (EKDDA) for a five-year term (2005-2010), Director of the National School of Public Administration (2005-2010), President of the Central Scientific Excellence Committee of the Ministry of Education for a two-year term (2012-2014), member of the Board of Directors of the Institute of Educational Policy (IEP) for a three-year term (2013-2015), Deputy Vice-Rector for Economic Planning at the University of Piraeus, and President of the Special Account and the Research Committee (2014-2016). He has also been a member of advisory councils for the General Secretariat for Public Revenue and the Independent Authority for Public Revenue for a four-year term (2016-2019), Special Advisory Council, Senior Advisory Council, and Supreme Advisory Council. He is a member of the Senate of the University of Piraeus, the Research Committee of the University of Piraeus, and the Director of the established laboratories "Information Systems Laboratory" (2010-2016) and "Artificial Intelligence and Virtual Reality Laboratory" (2016-present).

Joseph Stefanou is an urban architect, President of the Syros Institute, Emeritus Professor of the School of Architecture of the National Technical University of Athens. He studied Architecture at the Ecole Nationale Superieure des Beaux, Urban Planning at the Institut D'Urbanisme de l'Universite de Paris and at the Universite des Vincennes (D.E.A. and 3rd cycle doctorate). Social Psychology at the Universite Louis Pasteur de Strasbourg (D.E.A. and 3rd cycle doctorate). Psychology of space at the University of Strasbourg 1 (doctorat d'etat). He has been Vice-President of the "Committee of Experts on the Social Aspects of Housing and Development of the Population" of the Council of Europe. More than 100 of his scientific papers have been published in Greek and foreign journals.

Professor - Dr. Maria Virvou was born in Athens, Greece. She received a B.Sc. Degree in Mathematics from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Greece, a M.Sc. Degree in Computer Science from the University College London (UCL), U.K. and a Ph.D. Degree in Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence from the University of Sussex, U.K. funded by a scholarship obtained from the Greek State Scholarship Foundation.

She is currently a FULL PROFESSOR, HEAD OF THE DEPARTMENT, DIRECTOR OF POST- GRADUATE STUDIES and DIRECTOR OF THE SOFTWARE ENGINEERING LAB in the Department of Informatics, University of Piraeus, Greece. She is AUTHOR/CO-AUTHOR of over 350 research papers published in international journals, books and conference proceedings and of 7 books and monographs in Computer Science published by Springer and other publishers. She is currently EDITOR-IN-CHIEF of the Springer book series “Learning and Analytics in Intelligent Systems”. She has been EDITOR of over 20 collections of papers in conference proceedings or books, published by major academic publishers, such as IEEE, Springer and IOS Press. She has also been EDITOR-IN-CHIEF of the SpringerPlus Journal (Springer) for the whole area of Computer Science. Additionally, she has been an ASSOCIATE EDITOR of many other journals. She was GENERAL CO-CHAIR of the yearly conference series of International Conference on Information, Intelligence, Systems and Applications (IISA 2020, 2019, 2018, 2017, 2016, 2015, 2014, 2013), technically-sponsored by IEEE, which aims at promoting research in the area of interactive multimedia and major applications. She has been the GENERAL CHAIR / PROGRAM CHAIR of over twenty (20) International Conferences. She has been the PRINCIPAL INVESTIGATOR or CO-INVESTIGATOR of numerous national / international research projects. She has supervised 12 Ph.D. alumni and many of them currently hold academic positions in Universities. She has been teaching under-graduate and post-graduate courses in Educational Software, Software Engineering and Mobile Software, Human Computer Interaction, Programming Languages and Compilers, Software Personalization Technologies, User Modeling, Adaptive Tutoring Systems.

Prof.-Dr. Virvou has been a recipient of many best paper awards in international conferences. She has been an invited keynote speaker for many international conferences. She has received an honorary award by UNESCO in honour and recognition of her outstanding scholarly achievements and contributions to the field of Computer Science. She received the 1^st Research Award from the Research Centre of the University of Piraeus for high quality international journal publications among Faculty Members of the University of Piraeus for the years 2004-2005 and 2005-2006 respectively. According to Microsoft Academic Search exploring entity analytics of 262,751,231 Authors she has been ranked as top 1^st author in the Computer Science area of EDUCATIONAL SOFTWARE regarding citations and 2^nd regarding publications. In addition, she has been ranked as top 1^st author in publications in the Computer Science areas of MOBILE AUTHORING TOOLS, ADAPTIVE TUTORING, BI-MODAL AFFECTIVE COMPUTING, INTELLIGENT HELP, AUTOMATIC REASONING HELP, EDUCATIONAL GAME SOFTWARE, VIRTUAL REALITY EDUCATIONAL GAME, RUP LIFE CYCLE SOFTWARE. She has been ranked as 2^nd top author regarding publications in the areas of SOFTWARE PERSONALIZATION STUDENT MODELING, INTELLIGENT HELP SYSTEMS FOR UNIX USERS, KNOWLEDGE ENGINEERING AFFECTIVE SYSTEMS, top 4^th author in the area of UML INTELLIGENT COLLABORATIVE LEARNING and top 5^th in the whole area of USER MODELING. Moreover she has been ranked among the top 40 researchers worldwide in publications for the Computer Science area of MULTIMEDIA (out of 979.432 publications, 8.626.011 citations, 1.600.000 authors), among the top 50 authors in the area of USER INTERFACE (out of 176.156 publications, 3.462.738 citations) and among the top 65 authors in HUMAN COMPUTER INTERACTION (out of 538.396 publications, 6.497.244 citations). Eleni Linaki is a Building Renovation and Restoration Engineer, a graduate of the TEI of Larissa as well as an Urban Planning-Spatial Planning and Development Engineer (AUTh). She received her master's degree from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in the Protection, Preservation and Restoration of Cultural Monuments, and is a PhD Candidate in the Department of Architecture, NTUA and Secretary of the Syros Institute. She has several research papers in scientific conferences and journals, while she has participated in seminars on architecture and the restoration of buildings and monuments.

George Magginis (born in 1971) studied archeology and art history at the University of Athens and the University of London / SOAS, where he completed his doctoral dissertation on the Holy Mountain of Mount Sinai with scholarships from the Hellenic Archaeological Commission of the United Kingdom, I Leventis and the Wingate Foundation. Since 2001 he teaches History of Byzantine Art (SOAS), Islamic Art (SOAS, Courtauld Institute, University of Edinburgh, Institute of Ismaili Studies, Aga Khan University, British Museum, Victoria and Albert Museum, Museum of Islam and Art) of Chinese Art (Benaki Museum, SOAS). He is an honorary partner of the University of Edinburgh. He has participated in archeological excavations in Greece, Cyprus and the Sinai Peninsula in Egypt. He has worked at the Hellenic Children's Museum as collector and librarian, at the Hagia Sophia in London as archivist and curator, at the re-exhibition of the Archaeological Museum of Ioannina as curator, and at museums in the United Kingdom as a development consultant. In 2013 he was a Stanley J. Seeger Fellow at Princeton University. He has published scientific articles on Cypriot prehistory, Islamic architecture and art, Sinaitic studies, Chinese pottery as well as the Greek and Armenian diaspora. In 2016 he published two books: Mount Sinai: A History of Travelers and Pilgrims (London) and China Rediscovered: The Benaki Museum Collection of Chinese Ceramics (Athens and London).

Dr. Anta (Antonia) Dialla is an Associate Professor of European History at the Department of Theory and History of Art of the School of Fine Arts and since March 2017 is President of the same Department. She teaches in the postgraduate program "Fine Arts" of the Department of Fine Arts of ASKT as well as in the postgraduate program of the Department of Theory and Criticism of Art. She also teaches European at the Hellenic Open University. In the past he has taught history of Europe, Eastern Europe, and Russia during the 19th century at the Universities of Crete and Thessaly. From 2004 to 2009 she was the director of the Historical Archive of the University of Athens. Her scientific interests focus on the History of Russia and Europe in the 19th and 20th centuries (with emphasis on transnational history, Empire and Nationalism), the history of Humanitarian Interventions and Humanism in the 19th century and the History of Historiography.

Georgios Tsihrintzis is Professor at the Department of Informatics at the University of Piraeus. He holds a Diploma in Electrical Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens and a Master's and a Ph.D. degree from Northeastern University in the United States.

From 2008 to 2012, he served as Vice President of the department. From 2008 to 2016, he was the Director of the Postgraduate Program "Advanced Information Systems" at the department. From 2012 to 2016, he was a member of the University of Piraeus Foundation Council. Since September 1, 2016, he has been the Chair of the Department of Informatics for two consecutive terms, which end on August 31, 2020. From 2018 to 2020, he served as the Director of the Postgraduate Program "Advanced Information Systems - Software Systems Development and Artificial Intelligence." Throughout his more than 21 years of service at the University of Piraeus, he has served as President/Member of more than 50 committees, both within the Department of Informatics and the University of Piraeus.

He has also served as President/Member of evaluation committees for research proposals submitted to the General Secretariat for Research and Technology (GSRT) and other Greek and European bodies.

Furthermore, he served as an Alternate Member of the Governing Board of the Hellenic Open University from 2009 to 2015.

His current research interests include Pattern Recognition, Machine Learning, Decision Theory, Statistical Signal Processing, and Computational Intelligence, as well as their applications in Multimedia Interactive Services, User Modeling in Software, Knowledge-Based Software Systems, Human-Computer Interaction, and Information Retrieval. He has published over 300 research papers in major international journals and conferences and is a co-author of five (5) monographs and co-editor of 22 volumes. He is the Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of Computational Intelligence Studies (Inderscience) and Intelligent Decision Technologies (IOS Press), as well as a member of the editorial boards of 11 other international scientific journals. He has edited 10 special issues of significant international scientific journals. He is a co-founder and co-editor of the book series "LEARNING AND ANALYTICS IN INTELLIGENT SYSTEMS" published by the leading scientific publisher SPRINGER. He is a co-founder and co-chair of the steering committee of the annual international conference "INFORMATION, INTELLIGENCE, SYSTEMS AND APPLICATIONS," whose proceedings are published by the prestigious IEEE. He has chaired more than 30 major international conferences. He has been honored with significant international awards for outstanding research work and has been invited as a keynote speaker at major international scientific conferences.
