We are honored to host Dr. Alexandra Politaki, EU Climate Pact Ambassador, as a guest lecturer for the Postgraduate Program Digital Culture, Smart Cities, IoT, and Advanced Digital Technologies the Department of Informatics, University of Piraeus.

 About Dr. Alexandra Politaki

Dr. Politaki holds a PhD in Political Science from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, specializing in populations in forced displacement, with postgraduate studies in Political Philosophy and Social Theories. Her work focuses on:

 Societies in crisis,

 Human rights and climate change,

 Protecting vulnerable groups during the Green and Digital Transition, and

 Urban life and cities under the challenges of climate change.

With extensive experience at the United Nations and international NGOs, she has worked on Emergency Response and population protection in regions affected by conflicts, displacement, and natural disasters. Her research has been presented at international conferences, and her insights are featured in global and Greek media.

Since 2022, Dr. Politaki has served as an Ambassador for the EU Climate Pact in Greece, with her term renewed annually. She is committed to promoting a Just Transition, advancing the core goal of the UN Agenda 2030, "Leave no one behind" (LNOB), and fostering citizen participation to strengthen democracy and social empowerment.
