Topic of speech: Animasyros International Animation Festival: A Cultural Action of Regional Development.
Vassilis Karamitsanis* was born in Athens in 1976. He graduated from the Athens College High School and from the Law Department of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. He did postgraduate studies at the Universities of Rotterdam, Hamburg and Aix-Marseille III. Since 2002 he has been a lawyer in Athens. He has worked as a collaborator of the Greek Films Department of the Thessaloniki Film Festival and the ECOFILMS Festival. He has served as Chairman of the Board of Directors. of the National Opera. Since 2008 he has been the president of Animasyros International Animation Festival + Market, while since 2015 he was elected president of ASIFA GREECE - Hellenic Animation Association.
- Vassilis Karamitsanis was awarded the Knight of the Order of Letters and Arts of the French Government during an event that took place on May 8, 2019 at the Embassy of France. The medal was awarded by the French ambassador to Greece, Mr. Christophe Chantepy.
