On Thursday, February 17, 2022 and time 18:00 - 21:00, the guests of the MSc "Digital Culture, Smart Cities, IoT and Advanced Digital Technologies", of the Department of Informatics of the University of Piraeus, are Mr. Kapellakou Galatea and Kolotourou Krystallenia, Lawyers.

The lecture will be held for MSc students in the context of the Course "Intellectual Property, Personal Data and Regulatory Issues" of the directions "Digital Culture", "Smart Cities and Advanced Digital Technologies" and "Internet of Things (IoT) and Advanced Digital Technologies" ».


Brief Biographies

Galatea Kapellakou is a lawyer specializing in Intellectual Property Law. He has worked as a Consultant at UNESCO in the field of culture (Cultural Diversity Division), participates as an expert in EU programs on Intellectual Property Law and is a partner of KE.ME.A. in HORIZON Europe research programs, in matters of research ethics. He holds a Doctorate in Law from the EKPA and the University of Nantes (co-tutelle, Intellectual Property), holds a master's degree in Intellectual Property Law (DEA, Nantes Law School) and International Studies (DMS, Athens Law School). During the preparation of her thesis she received a scholarship from the Max Planck Institute for Innovation and Competition. He teaches at the University of Patras in the Department of Computer and Informatics Engineering the course "Social and Legal Aspects of Technology" and at Aristotle University in the PMS Advanced Computer and Communication Systems the course "Intellectual Property Law". He publishes articles and research in legal journals and collective volumes.

Krystallenia Kolotourou is a graduate of the Law Department of the NOPE School of EKPA and holds a Master's Degree at the University of Nantes, France in Intellectual Property Law ("Propriété Intellectuelle"). She holds a Doctorate in Law from the Athens University of Applied Sciences and her doctoral thesis is entitled "The relative right of producers of phonograms". In her professional career, she has systematically dealt with intellectual property issues, while she has participated as an expert in EU programs related to Intellectual Property Law. At the same time, he writes articles and participates in conferences.
