At the Special Standing Committee of the Regions of the Parliament on Tuesday, November 26, 2019, the Director of the Master's Program "Digital Culture, Smart Cities, IoT & Advanced Digital Technologies" was invited Assoc. Professor Dimitrios D. Vergados together with the Mayor of Trikkaia Dimitris Papastergiou in order to inform the Greek Members of Parliament.
The meeting had the theme "Smart Cities: The integration of new technologies into the urban environment and the challenge for Local Government".
A meeting of 2 1/2 hours, where a climate of consensus prevailed, while the statements of Mrs. X. Alexopoulos, Member of Parliament for Achaia and member of the Committee, were particularly warm, on the importance of the P.M.S.: "Madam president, I think today we you're doing a lot of damage because you've set the bar too high and I don't know what other committee we're going to enjoy as much as today, I honestly think the House channel should take today's meeting and make it an educational program for people who want to are candidate mayors to be or have been elected mayors, but also this Master's Program that you mentioned, Professor, "Digital Culture and Smart Cities", I think should be a prerequisite for candidate mayors in order to be able to be candidates and cope with the tasks properly their."
