Visit to the OTE Group Telecommunications Museum

Within the framework of bridging academic knowledge with technological evolution and historical heritage, the students and faculty of the MSc in Digital Culture, Smart Cities, IoT, and Advanced Digital Technologies conducted an educational visit to the OTE Group Telecommunications Museum.

The Experience
The tour offered an exciting journey through time, starting from the invention of the electric telegraph and spanning to modern satellite communications and the internet. The postgraduate students had the opportunity to:

• Explore rare exhibits: From the earliest manual telephone devices to historical telephone exchanges.
• Understand the strategic importance of telecommunications: How technological evolution has shaped the social and economic fabric of Greece
