More than 8,000 views were received by the video of the event "Studies in Informatics - Telecommunications: Driver of Development and Progress, Employment Prospects" which was organized within the framework of the Master's Program "Advanced Informatics Systems" of the Department of Informatics of the University of Piraeus by Prof. Dimitrios D. Vergado, Director of MSc and greeted by the President of the Department Prof. Georgios Tsichritzis, for the Spoudase Festival 2017, proving the success of the event and the interest of the university and non-university community

As a continuation of the 2017 event, on Saturday 19/05/2018 at 19:00, in the Technopolis of the Municipality of Athens in Gazi, an event of the Department of Informatics of the University of Piraeus entitled: "Digital Culture, Smart Cities, IoT and Advanced Digital Technologies" - "DigitalCulture, SmartCities, IoT and Advanced Digital Technologies".

It should be noted that the event is organized in the context of the participation of the Department of Informatics, University of Piraeus in the Study Fair "Spoudase Festival 2018", of the homonymous MSc "Digital Culture, Smart Cities, IoT and Advanced Digital Technologies" (M.Sc. in "Digital Culture, Smart Cities, IoT and Advanced Digital Technologies"*) and the efforts of the IT Department to connect the IT and Communication Technologies market with University Education and Research.
