On Thursday, February 03, 2022 and time 18:00 - 21:00, the guest of the MSc "Digital Culture, Smart Cities, IoT and Advanced Digital Technologies", of the Department of Informatics of the University of Piraeus, is Ms. Zulovits Mina, LawyerLL. M.

The lecture will be held for MSc students in the context of the Course "Intellectual Property, Personal Data and Regulatory Issues" of the directions "Digital Culture", "Smart Cities and Advanced Digital Technologies" and "Internet of Things (IoT) and Advanced Digital Technologies" ».

Brief Biography

Mina Zulovits is a lawyer LL.M., Partner in the law firm Zulovits – Kontogeorgou. He has long experience and specialized legal training in the digital transformation of businesses with an emphasis on e-business and personal data protection issues. Much of her professional activity includes the legal support of a demanding clientele consisting of businesses active in the field of retail and/or wholesale trade or in the import or manufacture of products and in the provision of services in Greece and abroad, such as the fashion industry, products aesthetics and beauty, transport, the tobacco industry, electrical equipment, but also modern entrepreneurs from the field of innovation, active in the management of physical and digital files, the operation of online mediation platforms in the entire spectrum of e-commerce and electronic markets (marketplaces).

He is a member of the Legislative Reforms Committee of the Hellenic-American Chamber, a member of the E-RegulationCommittee of E-CommerceEurope, as well as an elected member of the Advisory Committee and external legal advisor of GRECA since its foundation until today. Furthermore, he has been a legal adviser to the State in a variety of circumstances, including the provision of advisory assistance in matters of e-government, digital signature and system security.

In addition, he has participated in all the recent law-making committees related to the amendment of Law 2251/1994 (on consumer protection), including the amendments brought about by the integration of Directives 2011/83/EU and 2013/11/EU and Law 4512/2018, as well as in the drafting of the Code of Ethics for Electronic Commerce. Recently, he participated as a legal advisor of GRECA (Greeke-CommerceAssociation) in the law-making committee for the integration into Greek legislation of Regulation 2019/1150/EU (P2BRegulation) for transparency and equal treatment on the internet. He has taught for a number of years in undergraduate and other educational programs of Greek and foreign universities and various educational institutions (ISTCollege under the auspices of the University of Hardfordshire, AIT under the auspices of CarnegieMellon, Eltrun under the auspices of OPA, Excelixis etc.).
