Visit of Prof. Dr.-Ing. Johann-Dietrich Woerner, Director General of the European Space Agency (ESA), to the University of Piraeus on Monday, December 18, 2017.

Prof. Dr.-Ing. Johann-Dietrich 'Jan' Woerner, Director General of the European Space Agency (ESA), was honored by the Master's Program in Advanced Information Systems of the Department of Informatics at the University of Piraeus on Monday, December 18, 2017, following the conclusion of his speech titled "Space 4.0. Enabling Innovation".

Prof. Dr.-Ing. Johann-Dietrich Woerner was welcomed by the Vice Rector for Academic Affairs, Administrative Affairs, and Student Welfare, Professor Pantelis Pantelidis, and the Director of the Master's Program in Advanced Information Systems and Associate Chairman of the Department of Informatics at the University of Piraeus, Associate Professor Dimitrios D. Vergados. Prof. Dr.-Ing. Johann-Dietrich Woerner was accompanied by Prof. Dr. Kai-Uwe Schrogl, Chief Strategy Officer; Dr. Christina Giannopapa, Head of Political Affairs Office; and Ms. Grazia Abete, Senior Officer.

The event was organized by the Master's Program in Advanced Information Systems of the Department of Informatics at the University of Piraeus and was held under the auspices of the Ministry of Digital Policy, Telecommunications, and Information, as part of his official visit to Greece.
